Research

Ecology Matters funds a range of research projects. Our main areas have been work on Ring Ouzels in the UK and on the wintering grounds in Morocco, Curlew and Golden Plover, both wintering flocks and breeding habitat in mid-Wales, Coastal birds and breeding Golden Eagles in Oman and breeding Merlin in mid-Wales. We have also been developing the use of drones to survey cetaceans on Bardsey Island in North Wales.  See reports here:
